This Privacy Policy explains how FlightDeck Gouge LLC ("FlightDeck Gouge," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use https://www.flightdeckgouge.com (the "Site") and our membership service (the "Service"). It works alongside our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide:

Account information: your name, email address, and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we do not see your password.
Membership information: the tier you choose and your membership status.
Payment information: when you enroll, payment is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. You provide your card details directly to Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers. We receive limited billing details from Stripe, such as your subscription status, your card brand and its last four digits, and your invoice history.
Email sign-ups: if you request a free guide or other resource, we collect the email address you provide.
Submissions: if you submit an interview debrief or other content, we collect what you send us.
Support: if you email us, we receive your message and your contact details.

Information collected automatically:

Log and device data: basic technical information your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages you view, used to operate and secure the Site.
Essential cookies: cookies necessary to run the Service, including keeping you signed in (set by our authentication provider) and processing checkout (set by Stripe).
Analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you, to understand how the Site is used.

Information from third parties: our payment processor provides the limited billing details described above.

2. How we use information

To create and manage your account and membership.
To provide the Service and the material your membership includes.
To process payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds through Stripe.
To send resources you request and necessary account or transactional messages, such as receipts, renewal notices, and password resets.
To review and publish member submissions in line with our Terms.
To respond to support requests.
To maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with:

Service providers who help us operate, under contract and only as needed: our hosting provider (Vercel), our database and authentication provider (Supabase), our payment processor (Stripe), our email delivery provider, and our analytics provider (Vercel Web Analytics).
Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4. Payment processing

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's own privacy practices. We never receive or store your full card number.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to operate the Service: an authentication and session cookie to keep you signed in, and cookies our payment processor sets during checkout. For usage measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you, so the Site uses no analytics or advertising cookies and does not display a cookie consent banner. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may break sign-in and checkout.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. You can ask us to delete your account, as described below.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers (Supabase, Stripe, and Vercel) for core infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Access and update: view and update your account details from your account page.
Delete: ask us to delete your account and associated personal information by emailing support@flightdeckgouge.com. Some information may be retained as described in Data retention or where required by law.
Marketing emails: unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the link in those emails. We will still send necessary account and transactional messages.
Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not identify you individually, so there is no analytics tracking to opt out of.

9. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, the right to access, delete, or correct your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, email support@flightdeckgouge.com.

The categories of personal information we collect are described in "Information we collect" above: identifiers such as your name and email, account and membership details, limited billing information from Stripe, and internet or technical activity such as log data. We use and disclose these for the business purposes described in this Policy.

10. International users

The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.

11. Children

The Service is for adults (18 and over) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows when it last changed, and we will communicate material changes by reasonable means. Your continued use after changes take effect is your acceptance of the updated Policy.
